The Jefferson County Alliance of Service Councils, Inc. will use excess funds, over the $1000 minimum,

each year to award to deserving organizations who meet the following criteria:

1.                   Not for Profit Agency

2.                   Dues paying member of the Jefferson County Alliance

3.                   Provides direct support services to Jefferson County Citizens

4.                   Only one request per year will be granted per agency depending on available funds and/or

            the availability of other resources.

5.                   The organization must support the purpose of the Jefferson County Alliance which is being

            committed to improving the quality, comprehensiveness and accountability of the local human

            service delivery system by strengthening the collaboration, effectiveness and efficiency of all its members through the sharing of services, information, resources and appropriate funding.

Agencies may be awarded money up to $200 each year and should state in a letter how they meet the above criteria and the expected results of money allocated by the council.  A report will be required one year from the date of receipt describing how the money was used and if expected results were reached.  Applications will begin to be accepted during the month of September.  Applications will be reviewed at each Alliance meeting.  Applicants are encouraged to attend the meeting for application review.
